Legacy Chat and Messaging Issues

We are replacing Stenovate’s existing chat system with a newly built messaging experience in V3. This post consolidates previously reported chat and messaging issues associated with the current version of Stenovate.
Before V3 launches, we will test the new messaging system against the issues reported here—including message delivery, notifications, attachments, and access to messaging—to confirm they are no longer present.
Once that testing is complete, this post will be marked resolved. Any messaging issue experienced in V3 should then be submitted as a new bug report so it can be investigated against the new system.

Error processing request

I am unable to click the Jobs tab. A message displays that says there is an error processing the request. The hour glass icon continually spins.

Chat conversation

When going back to edit text in a chat conversation, if the cursor is placed in the middle of text, once I begin typing, then the cursor jumps to the end of the chat message.
This seemed to happen most when using the @ symbol.

Chat window does not update notifications after message are viewed. It only updates to clear the badge notification when you navigate to another page within stenovate

Stenovate chat icon has vanished

The icon in the lower right-hand corner to access the chat pane has vanished and has not reappeared after logging out and in or logging in in a different browser. I also cannot access the chat via clicking on "message" on a member's profile.

I am unable to message a reporter. Seems this has been reported before. It's a pretty important feature. Can it be addressed?

Is there ANY way the message button to reach you guys can be moved out of the path of the message bar? It makes it impossible to see the first word or two that you're typing. Thanks!

I have received an email notification that I have messages waiting for me in Stenovate, but there are no new messages. I've also had a few other users who have messaged support stating the same thing.
